Frequently Asked Questions
How do I track my sobriety?
You’ll check in daily and reflect on a short list of items about how you are in the present. They include your sobriety, mood, urges, gratitude and others. Your progress is automatically tracked and displayed in a simple, encouraging way. After you check-in, view your Gratitude Journal, Step Journal and Meetings Inventory by swiping through the main screens!
Can I customize my Intentions?
Yes. You can set and modify your daily and weekly intentions in settings or directly from the progress bar.
Does the app send reminders?
Yes, you can set daily check-ins reminders from the info box on the main screen, or in settings.
Can I connect with others in recovery?
Yes. IYWI is designed for you to connect with your friends in recovery as a single connection or as part of a Group!
How do I enable support from a friend and what is it?
IYWI allows you to share a check-in summary (urges, mood, sobriety) with people you trust, like a sponsor, peer, or friend in recovery, so they can encourage and support you. IYWI also sends alerts to your designated friends if you are ever struggling with urges, mood, or sobriety. Enable this feature when you invite a friend to connect with you, or later, from Community!
Community
How does IYWI define peer support?
Connections, Supporters and Groups. IYWI enables you to connect with other friends in recovery and build a trusted community. When you connect with friends, you share milestones (check-ins, sobriety, birthday's and others) at the outset. When you invite a friend connection to support you, they will receive a check-in summary (urges, mood, relapse) and if you missed a check-in.
Groups are private, judgment-free spaces that you can invite others that you have a shared interest with to join. In a group, you can message, and stay current with members' milestones and other recovery-focused details
Is this app affiliated with AA or other programs?

Can I invite my sponsor or loved ones?
